THE CUDAHY

The Cudahy condominium building, along with the adjacent Cudahy Tower Apartments, was redeveloped by Michael Cudahy after he acquired both properties in the 1980s. The Cudahy was originally constructed in 1907, and the Cudahy Tower Apartments were built in 1927.
Michael Cudahy converted The Cudahy into 44 residential condominium units and one commercial unit, while the northern building remained apartments. Following redevelopment, Michael assumed management of both properties, later transitioning day-to-day management to his daughter, Julie Cudahy.
In 2021, Julie stepped away from managing the condominium building. At that point, the HOA Board hired Founders3 as the professional management firm. Founders3 also manages several prominent downtown Milwaukee buildings, including University Tower and The Kilbourn. This change marked a significant upgrade in financial controls, maintenance oversight, reserve planning, and security operations.
Following Michael Cudahy’s passing in 2022, the Cudahy family sold the apartment building (Cudahy Tower Apartments) to Shoreline Real Estate, a family-owned firm that owns and manages a substantial portion of Milwaukee’s East Side vintage apartment buildings. The condominium building (The Cudahy) and the apartment building are now entirely separate entities, with separate legal documents, finances, reserve studies, repair schedules, management, and security. The only shared elements are a common wall & underground parking.
